The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the game board and bear those pieces off the board faster than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a match of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and luck. Just how far you can shift your checkers is left to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and the way you shift your chips are determined by your overall gambling strategies. Enthusiasts use a number of tactics in the differing stages of a game depending on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The goal of the Running Game strategy is to entice all your checkers into your home board and bear them off as quick as you can. This strategy focuses on the pace of moving your chips with no time spent to hit or stop your opponent’s chips. The best scenario to use this plan is when you believe you might be able to shift your own checkers a lot faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your checkers have past your opponent’s chips; or 3) your opposing player does not employ the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary goal of the blocking strategy, by its title, is to stop the opponent’s pieces, temporarily, while not fretting about shifting your pieces rapidly. As soon as you have created the blockage for the opponent’s movement with a few pieces, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the board. The player will need to also have a good plan when to back off and shift the pieces that you used for blocking. The game becomes interesting when your opposition utilizes the same blocking technique.
