The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the game board and get those pieces off the board faster than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a round of Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. Just how far you will be able to shift your chips is left to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and just how you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use a few plans in the different stages of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.

The Running Game Technique

The goal of the Running Game strategy is to entice all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as fast as you can. This tactic concentrates on the pace of shifting your pieces with no efforts to hit or stop your opponent’s checkers. The ideal scenario to employ this technique is when you believe you can move your own chips faster than the opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking technique.

The Blocking Game Plan

The primary goal of the blocking technique, by the title, is to block your opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your chips rapidly. As soon as you’ve created the blockage for the opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can move your other chips quickly off the board. The player really should also have a clear plan when to extract and move the pieces that you employed for blocking. The game becomes interesting when the opponent uses the same blocking technique.
