The objective of a Backgammon game is to move your pieces around the Backgammon board and get those pieces off the game board quicker than your opposing player who works just as hard to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Winning a match in Backgammon needsrequires both strategy and good luck. How far you can shift your chips is left to the numbers from tossing a pair of dice, and just how you move your chips are decided on by your overall playing plans. Players use differing strategies in the different stages of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Technique
The goal of the Running Game plan is to entice all your chips into your inside board and pull them off as fast as you can. This strategy focuses on the pace of shifting your chips with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your opponent’s pieces. The ideal scenario to use this tactic is when you believe you might be able to shift your own pieces faster than your opposing player does: when 1) you have less pieces on the game board; 2) all your pieces have moved beyond your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opponent does not employ the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to block your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you have created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a few chips, you can move your other checkers swiftly off the board. You really should also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and shift the chips that you utilized for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
